The SOFSCI panels does not have any frames, which is a good thing because frames effectively stops sound absorption on the edges - which is actually the most effective part of a correctly made sound absorber. Sound hitting the panel from the side has to travel through the whole length of the sound absorber thus allowing even very low frequencies to be absorbed.

Nor is there plywood or similar on the back which allows for an increased effectiveness when using the SOFSCI Wall mounting system or other kind of wall spacers.

The sizes and setups in our gallery are there as our main options, suitable for both companies and private persons. However, should you wish for larger panels (can only be shipped to a corporate adress) or for anything different please just contact us.

The product itself is 4.5 centimetres thick and when using the SOFSCI wall mounting system there will be 2.5 cm air gap between the product and the wall - greatly increasing its effectiveness.

Sounds Of Science´s sound absorbers are all developed together with, as well as tested and certified by, a leading international research institute and accredited lab in Sweden called SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden. Hertz scored the highest sound absorption class which is "A".

This panel is for HiFi-listening and Home Cinema environments when there is a need to absorb a broad range of frequencies without focusing solely on the high frequencies. One typical use for these is behind the HiFi speakers in order to avoid echoes from the wall to disturb the speaker and to absorb firsthand reflections as the product is engineered to focus on the frequencies that are on the lower end of the direct frequency scale.

Sounds Of Science has done it again: Delivering yet another truly revolutionary product. We are not sure where to begin or which feature is the most amazing so let´s just list the most fascinating stuff in bullets below:

  • Massive effectiveness on 50 Hz and below.
